Alternative-Eden is a project of creating exciting and unconventional playlists, spanning five decades of pioneering, underground and alternative musical talent

Most music shows will recycle a limited selection of songs that have been focus-group tested to appeal to a specific demographic, hoping that will lock in a regular-listening audience

Similarly, most music shows will focus an a specific genre, or a specific period of time, in the belief that’s what their audience wants

Alternative-Eden rejects this premise

Music did not stop being amazing at the end of the Eighties, or the Nineties, or when MTV changed, rather it continues to evolve, reacting to and feeding back into the society around it

Alternative-Eden is committed to rediscovering lost pieces of our musical heritage and seeking out contemporary talent that shares the same alternative spirit and energy, to fill our hearts and souls with glorious, twisted and surprising perspectives on the world around us
